Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a Microsoft Agent or Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an official Microsoft global customer service number.

I understand that you are facing issues while using fingerprint on your PC. To assist you better, please respond to the questions below.

1. Which updates were installed on the PC?

2. What happens when you try to add PIN?

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to follow the suggestions mention below and see if that helps.

Method 1:

Try creating a new user account and see if you are still facing the issue. Refer the article Create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10

Method 2:

Try updating the fingerprint drivers and see if you are able to use the fingerprint. Refer the article Update drivers in Windows 10

However, you can also get in touch with your manufacturer to download the drivers for the fingerprint reader.
