1. The only thing the support team does is tell you to log into your school web store.

2. If you're school web store doesn't have a volume license for the software you're looking for, you're out of luck.

3. Ignore what they claim on their website about free software for students, Microsoft isn't going to give anything to anyone for free. And that includes students and teachers. Students only get "free" software if their school has purchased a volume license.

And yes, volume licensing does indeed control most of Microsoft's product availability, and unfortunately some schools just don't have that agreement in place.
