Protect Yourself From Tech Support Scams

This issue might occur due to due to incompatible\ outdated drivers.

Step 1: Let us try to update the sound card drivers and check if it helps.

Step 2: Let us try to install the driver in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

Follow the below steps:

• Right-click on the setup file of the driver and select Properties.

• Select Compatibility tab.

• Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select previous the version of Windows (Windows 8) from the drop down list.

• Let the driver install and then check the functionality.

Same issue here, but I found the fix. You have to install the driver for Windows Vista.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L755 as well. I hit the link at the bottom of the page (right above where he says 'here's the real link', and I have sound again!

That's strange. Our computers are identical, including 64-bit. The only thing u can think of is that I had deleted the Mobiola Audio Device through the device manager. I was in the process of finding it online to reinstall it when I came across the Vista version that worked. Maybe that's the difference...deleting that driver first?

when you hit that link from tomsguide, did it automatically start downloading for you? It did for me, then I ran as administrator.
