When trying to deploy patches, the following error may be displayed:
"Incorrect command line parameters."

Microsoft Windows Installer version 3 or later may be required to deploy some patches silently.

GFI LANguard can be used to silently deploy the Windows Installer Redistributable. Proceed as follows:

1. Download Windows Installer Redistributable here.
2. Open the GFI LANguard console.
3. From the network tree select the machine, OU, or domain which caused the issue during deployment.
4. Click on the Remediate tab and select Deploy Custom Software.
5. In the Specify the software to be deployed section click Add.
6. Browse to the downloaded file (WindowsInstaller-KBv2-xexe).
7. In the parameters section, select Custom, and enter the following parameters:

        9.  Click Deploy. Microsoft Windows Installer version 3 or later is required on the machine to where the patch is being installed.
