Windows 7 Professional does not have language packs, but only Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 7 Enterprise. Does anybody have a workaround to this issue? Is there any software out there that can resolve this issue? Please help.

does not have every language for every version of the OS, depending on which language you're looking for you're going to need to upgrade to ultimate or professional.

Download the Language Interface Pack ( LIP) for your Windows architecture: please note that you have different LIPs for Win7 and Win7 SP1 ( took me a while to figure this out when I was to a customer and did not manage to change the language).
Run the following command as admin: dism /online /add-package /packagepath:C:\LIP\fr-fr\lp.cab
Delete the old language registry key: HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MUI\ UILanguage\ro-ro ( depends on what language you have installed by default in your OS).
Restart the machine and you should be ready to go. Please make sure that you backup the registry before doing any changes, saved me a few times in the passed especially when doing the LIP change operation.
From my experience I can tell it works even on home editions of Windows 7.

You will have to install the MUI version of Windows. I don't believe you can retroacrively add language packs.

Believe me you can, I have done it a lot of times especially on the home edition of windows.Bill Kindle wrote:

Hi Guys
I finally found a solution to my problem. i used a program called vistalizator. This tool allows you to change display language in Windows editions other than (officially supported) Ultimate, like Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium and Business/Professional.
Features
Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese and Spanish

used to be included in xp pro. all these crap are making people dump window and opt for other OS. I will became on of them!

rpopa, Can you pl send me the download link for English language pack for Windows 7 SP1 Professional 64 bit
