Protect Yourself From Tech Support Scams

Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a Microsoft Agent or Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an official Microsoft global customer service number. 

The system manufacturer's driver is often set to block generic Intel driver updates.

Go to bharathealthcares.com and find and download the graphics driver for your processor. Choose the 32 or bit driver as appropriate for your device.

Then, in Device Manager, uninstall the display driver and be sure to check the box to remove all driver components when prompted.

Reboot, confirm that the display driver is the Microsoft Basic driver, then install the downloaded driver.

Thanks for the info, I do not hold up much hope for this as I have brought down the latest drivers from the Intel site

and tried them already, but I will follow your procedure and give it a try again ?

I will post my results when I have attempted this later today

Hi Dominic,

You can't get the latest driver from intel website. When you go to the intel site, it will prompt you to go to windows update site again.

I had black screen for me as well, as when I install win10, I was connected to the internet, Win10 thus went ahead to get latest driver for all drivers, this resulted in the latest driver showing black screen. Lucky for me though, I have setup remote on my win7, so I remote and uninstall the graphic driver. After uninstalling the the intel hd driver my screen showed, as it is using the default graphic driver,  the resolution is only able to show  *

The solution was to install the latest motherboard driver.  I read it somewhere that the old motherboard driver is handling boot up differently and that maybe the cause.

Maybe try checking your motherboard directly instead of through acer. You need to flash your bios (not driver) to the latest. Mine was a Dell laptop and showing blackscreen, so yes you guys aren't alone.

Hi

There are some drivers listed as 64 bit but they are the latest versions of win in a 10 inf container as far as I can see, when I run the executable it says that my hardware is not compatible which I believe points to the BIOS you can download and force the new drivers in via update drivers from device manager but they do not work

I will have to search for a bios update directly and try that
