This version works.
I had a HDD die on me this weekend, so I had to do a full windows install. When I went to get skype it was trying to force me into that horrible Windows 10 metro app. Finally got the version 8 desktop installer from the website, but it tois complete garbage.
I was finally able to find a full download of the Skype classic I kept seeing talked about, but removed from the Skype download page.
